4th August 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 16-25 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 foot surf Air Temperature: 19ºC Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: drizzle Max Speed: Distance Covered: I had a moment of madness whilst rigging and despite the fact that the wind was gusting to 25 knots I rigged my 6.7m sail and big (90ltr) wave board... Well, I thought the wind was dropping. I did rig it pretty flat and that sail has a huge range so i wasn't actually overpowered at all. i did think about changin down throughout the session but in the end decided I was comfortable enough as I was and didn't want to be under powered so I stayed out on the 6.7m and stayed well powered up. Anna and Morgan came over to say hello for a bit. Lots of nice powered up runs, a few nice jumps but mainly just blasting around in amongst the waves. I'm a little worried that my boom is about to snap as it is making some horrible creaking noises on one side, so I'm lacking confidence in my kit at the mo. Good other than that though and no one else out. |
